Collection Description

Biographical Note

William Henry "Bill" Robinson was born in 1942 in Seaford, Delaware. Robinson moved to Providence, Rhode Island, in 1960, and in 1965 he married Annie Ruth Riddix. He served as pastor of the Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ (Providence, Rhode Island) and also ran Reverend Bill Robinson's Ministry of Love and Faith (also known as Reverend Bill Robinson's Faith Ministry). He was a gospel pianist who traveled and performed with many gospel artists. He later served as pastor of the Calvary Temple Faith Church of Deliverance in Salisbury, Maryland.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the papers of William Henry Robinson from circa 1942-1995 and includes correspondence, printed material, photographs, and audio recordings. Correspondence consists of letters between Robinson and other ministers, followers, and friends. Printed material includes flyers, programs, newsletters, church bulletins, and membership and delegate cards pertaining to various evangelical churches and gospel music events. The collection also contains photographs of Robinson and others, as well as two audio recordings of Robinson playing the organ.
