Scope and Content Note

The third subseries includes additional photographs and slides from circa 1980-2000, such as images of artwork inspired by Rushdie's writing as well as images of painted portraits of Rushdie himself. Also included are photographs of other writers and artists, such as Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison and Ian McEwan. Various locations, such as the Berlin Wall, Nicaragua, and Pakistan, are represented. Finally, this subseries contains slides of both Rushdie and of Salman and Clarissa Rushdie in 1972 and at their wedding in 1976.
