Biographical Note
Sophie Wilson Williams was born about 1912 in South Carolina to Emma Daniel Wilson Andrews and George Williams. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia and attended West Hunter Street Baptist Church.
Scope and Content Note
The collection consists of the papers of Sophie Wilson Williams from 1957-1989 including printed material and family photograph albums. Printed material consists of bulletins and programs from West Hunter Street Baptist Church, clippings related to her mother, Emma Daniel Wilson Andrews, and other programs. The collection also contains a copy of "The Society page" produced by photographer Al Steward. The photograph albums are of family members and her daughter Ruth's wedding in 1957.
