Scope and Content Note

The series consists of sound and video recordings of Wright and others from 1960-2009. Recordings of Wright contain interviews and readings of works by Wright and by others; while the bulk of these materials are audio recordings, there are also a few video recordings. The series also contains recordings of events featuring Wright, including speeches, conferences, forums, and meetings of professional organizations. Other recordings include materials relating to Wright’s political activism, particularly with regard to Cuba; recordings relating to Wright’s home town of Wetipquin, Maryland; and several of Wright’s answering machine tapes. Also present are a few recordings of John Oliver Killens.
