Rhoda Kaufman was a social worker and activist and onetime Emory University graduate student who was involved in various progressive social movements of the 1930s and 1940s. The collection is chiefly published volumes produced by national and local government agencies and initiatives with which Kaufman was involved, including the White House Conference on Child Health and Protection and the Atlanta Social Planning Council. There is also a scrapbook of clippings related to the United Nations and United Nations Day.
